And I all I have to say is, what an excellent game it is! It's definitely one of the best games I've ever played. I thought that the first Uncharted game, Drake's Fortune, was a brilliant enough game and a classic, but U2 actually turned out be a slightly better game. I've now completed U1 and U2 and the series in my opinion is simply one of the best game series you can wish to play in Sony's console history. It's a major criminal offence for any PS3 owner not have owned or at least played bo...
And it's definitely one of the best games I've ever played on my PS3 so far. The game has got everything that a complete action/adventure game should have - intense and explosive gun fights, stealth missions, roller-coaster chase sequences, nail-biting platform antics and very deep, immersive storyline. I'm really loving this game. I thought the first Unchartered was an excellent game and the best of it's kind, but Unchartered 2 is a clear demonstration that a game sequel can successfully be ...
* Base the game on a modern-day version of Vice City & Florida state.
* Create the main character as some kind of immigrant Hispanic petty criminal that arrives in the city on a banana boat with aims of becoming a rich and powerful drug lord eg. Scarface.
* Allow access to ALL public buildings. You should be able to enter ALL the shops, stores, banks, hotels, hospitals, police stations, fire stations etc.
* Wider variety of missions and side ac...
I too believe that Microsoft has not sold as many 360s as it claims to have done. Many game developers have claimed to have sold more copies of their titles on the PS3 in the past year and a half. EA, Konami, Capcom, and some others. Most major multi-plat titles like GTA 4 and COD4 have more or less around equal amounts on both platforms. I think Microsoft are doing some shady moves.
I agree with you right there, this GTA 4 milking business is gettin too much. Microsoft still seem to think all this GTA 4 DLC is the key to domination and victory over the PS3 in the HD current-gen console wars. And with all the noise they STILL keep making about GTA 4 DLC, it kinda gives you the impression that's the only big thing in console gaming Microsoft has to offer right now.
GTA 4, while it was still a very good game, was also quite a major letdown and disappointment...
I did think that PES 2008 was very poor for a PES game, the technical flaws were countless and the graphics were so sub-standard. I was very disappointed with Konami for PES 2008. From what I remembered and even though I never played it, FIFA 08 was not exactly anything great either.
But I did I played FIFA 09, the one that everyone claimed had finally beaten PES and I did not agree with that - while it looked good, the gameplay did not feel as realistic, technical and enjoyabl...
I live in London and only just yesterday, I went to the GAME store in the West End, which is pretty much the largest video game store in central London. I bought Fight Night 4 and Call of Duty WAW and I had also planned on buying PES 2010. But guess what? PES 2010 was totally sold out. From a glimpse of this, it sure dont look like PES 2010 is struggling to me.
I'm British and this is my view....I dont care what anyone says, but GTA is much more suited to American-based cities and environments. These places just seem to have a much more varied and interesting organized crime scene compared to most other places. With the exception of Moscow in Russia and Naples in Italy, most European cities are nowhere near as violent as American cities, even the medium-sized ones! It just would not feel right playing a game like GTA in low-crime rate cities that ar...
Now don't get it twisted I did enjoy playing GTA 4, I still think it's a very stunning looking game and I actually completed it. I'm a massive GTA fan and I was expecting everything about this game to be near flawless, considering the hype it generated. But I cannot deny - GTA 4 turned out to be a great dissappointment in the end, even though it was still a very good game. Repetitive gameplay, lack of mission variety and many missing 'fun' elements of previous GTA games are some of the major ...
I prefer the glossy black look with the shiny, chrome trim on the older PS3 60gb model, which I already own since October 2007. Plus I still have the backwards compatability for PS2 games, something which I'm so glad I still have. If we had this deal here in the UK where I live, there is no way I'd go for it. I'm very much cool and content with my 60gb PS3 thanks.
Microsoft alwways keep bragging and boasting about how much bigger their Xbox 360 console install base is compared to the PS3 and how they sell much more games than Sony. But in the past year and up until now, most of the major game developing companies have officially reported earning much more revenue from PS3 game sales rather Xbox 360 sales. I dont have to name these companies, most of you on here know who they are and if you dont just research it.
It just makes one wonder whether,...
LOL, yes it is VERY POSSIBLE to get guns in London, and believe it or not, London has very common occurences of gun crime and there is a thriving gang scene. This is something thats more been happening within the last 12 years though however, it's not always been this way.
Despite all of the above facts, London's crime rate and gang scene totally pales in comaprison to that of an even medium-sized U.S city like Detroit! I still dont think London or anywhere else in the world wo...
And to make the next GTA title fun and interesting again, Rockstar should also include all the best features from the previous titles that were missing in GTA 4, here is a quick check:
* More mission and gameplay variety, with other things to do do like robbing and holding up any kind of stores/buildings, burglaries, selling drugs, extortion, building up your own gang, taking over territory, gang wars etc.
* More things to spend your money on like more variety of ...
I think the next GTA title should be set in a modern-day setting of Vice City, modelled on how how Miami looks now. Miami is a much bigger city now than it was before, with more bright lights and bigger nightlife. Even though Miami is not as dangerous or wild as it was in the "Cocaine Cowboy" era of the 1980s, it still has quite a high murder and crime rate, especially drug-related cases. A lot of gangs and organized crime groups are still very active in Miami.
I really belie...
I have to agree with many on here - 2 discs for a game in this day and age on what is supposed to be a powerful, current-gen console is one BIG JOKE. I'm not saying it's a big issue to get and swap discs. I just think it's a bad look for the 360 to be having to revert to Playstation 1 technology, like when Final Fantasy 7 and Metal Gear Solid 1 came out on 2 discs. This 2-disc things was a common feature in the PS1 days. We are talking about 9 years old technology here in 2009! I dont think e...
Firstly, I'm not homophobic. While homosexuality is not at all my thing and I love women, I certainly would not physically or verbally abuse someone simply because they are gay. I find this whole thing funny beacuse the GTA games series is a traditionally, alpha-male, hyper-masculine heterosexual themes type game and seeing this contrast just creates alot of comedy. Think what you you want, but I am not homophobic.
I saw the ratings and read the reviews for The Lost and Damned ...
They paid $50 million for exclusive DLC just because they were so desperate to gain more 360 GTA 4 sales than the PS3 version. I remember when they boasted time and time again that the new DLC was gonna be downloadable packs of new islands and maps etc, equivalent to a new installment like Vice City. What did they get? Some just about above-average DLC that was still set in the same city with some weak-looking theme about biker gang guys in leather pants - The Lost and Damned. Now the the sec...
Honestly this has got to be Microsofts greatest humiliaition. I mean the Lost and Damned DLC looked weak as it is with all that biker gang stuff but this Gay Tony thing? $50 million spent on all this, tell me that is not seriously funny? As a PS3 owner and massive GTA fan, I for one will not care one bit about any future DLC on GTA 4. I do NOT even want any of this DLC to come out on the PS3 later down the line. Well Microsoft, you wanted exclusive DLC so bad for GTA 4 and you got what you pa...
Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is much better than FIFA 2010. Trust me on this, any soccer game fan out there will buy Pro Evo, as Konami really got it right this time!
